Owner Sarah Huggins approached Awake to create a brand for her casual dining concept almost a year before its opening. Sarah had a vision to create an offering that replicated the delicious and nutritious meals that we all remember from childhood. The reality is that people have less and less time to cook for themselves but that doesn't mean they want to give up the health and emotional benefits of a delicious meal.

The cornerstone of the identity is a lattice-work-inspired heart that merges the "M" and the "B" of Mary Be. Etched illustrations of food and a very approachable typeface help to bring the brand to life. Warm, welcoming language punctuated the brand identity and established a "golden rule" for service and taste.
